God wants your spouse to be more than just a roommate or “ministry” partner, He wants two people becoming one.
When my husband and I got married, God broke down two separate people and re-created us into one! Our pursuits and dreams were different, but as we surrendered to God’s desire for marriage He completely transformed us. We learned to yield to one another, grow with one another and see the incredible unity of God. We didn’t make a bunch of rules to follow, we didn’t make each other follow our love languages, but instead we surrendered and allowed God to re-shape us with His truths.
I want to share how God created marriage and His design of how we function as followers of Christ in hopes that it helps you grow in your marriage.
💎God wants marriage to be an altar; a place of worship where every separate pursuit is put to death, so that Christ can be revealed by becoming one.
(Mark 10:8-9)
💎God wants two people serving one another better than they serve themselves. (Phillipians 2:3-5)
💎God wants marriage to be a place of complete forgiveness so that the holy spirit cannot be quenched (Ephesians 4:30)
💎He wants marriage to represent the relationship Christ has with His bride by being United in the same goal and being sacrificial in love (Ephesians 5)
💎He wants marriage to be without anger, revenge, or smack talk
(Ephesians 4:31)
💎God wants marriage to be a place of loving one another.
When you can truly love your spouse unselfishly, then you are truly a follower of Christ (John 13:35)
The world may not understand why you do marriage differently, but as you trust God, watch Him shape your marriage into the image of Christ and His church.
As you speak truth and life over your marriage, you are trusting God to give you strength, power and yes …even joy in your marriage!
It’s a mystery that represents the gospel to a world who doesn’t know Christ!
You might say…well how does that work for me …my spouse doesn’t believe the same things I do, we are on two separate pages…
💎Commit your self to prayer, surrender your doubts and fears to God and continue to love.
(1 John 4:7)
💎Don’t allow the enemy to lie and say that all hope is gone, but fight by resisting and submitting to God (James 5)
💎Do your part then give it to God and watch what He will do.Don’t count be years it failed, but prophesy over the next years that it will succeed
(Ezekiel 37)
